The Jeruel Baptist Church Youth Group is a gathering of teens, 7th through 12th grade, to deepen their knowledge of Christ and Christian Living. They meet once a week to teach, encourage, and admonish one another in Christ through his word, and through songs.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”-Colossians 3:16
The Youth Group does many service projects, including church decoration, Mission Store service, door to door witnessing, and road side cleanup. Some of their fun activities are ice skating, roller skating, sledding, camping, and watching sporting events. The group will do a service project and then are rewarded with a fun activity.
A typical Youth Group meeting on Wednesday starts out with a couple of games. Then they do a memory verse, have snacks, sing songs, and then have a Biblical lesson. The meeting ends with prayer requests and announcements. The Youth Group is a fun, easy going environment, where teens are encouraged to pursue Christ as their own personal Savior. Our goal is teaching youths to make the positive choice for Christ, and for them to continue to use his guidance for the other important decisions in their life ahead.
